Offering the Gift of Independence August 18 2009

One of the most difficult parts about daily hygiene for the temporarily or permanently disabled individual is the lack of independence.

Even something as simple as reaching your back in the shower can be very difficult if you’ve injured your arm or are otherwise wounded.

That’s why something like a back scrubber is such an invaluable device. This allows you to easily reach any potentially difficult area without requiring the help of another person. If you know somebody that’s struggling with this issue, consider a back scrubber or other personal bathroom aid as a gift for that individual.

While this will be a small gesture, it will mean a lot to the individual who will be once again be able to perform small hygienic necessities on their own. And there’s no gift greater than that independence.
